§ 58. Mr. Tapsellasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects to complete his review of wage-stop cases where there is an element of disability.
§ Mr. EnnalsLocal offices have now identified wage-stopped supplementary benefit claimants where there is an element of disability. This completes the first stage of the review. The second stage, involving detailed examination of individual cases, cannot begin before the beginning of August as the staff will be fully occupied, in addition to their normal duties, in bringing into effect the proposals for increases in benefit now before Parliament. It will thereafter be completed as quickly as possible.
