§ 31. Mr. William Priceasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what provision is made by his Department for community care of the vagrant mentally-sick person for whom local authorities refuse to accept financial responsibility.
§ Mr. SnowResponsibility for community care of the mentally ill rests with local health authorities. It is for the authorities concerned to decide which of them should accept responsibility in cases of doubt, but if my hon. Friend has in mind any case in which care has not been provided and will let me have details I will certainly make inquiries.
