§ Mr. CrossmanThe average costs in 1967–68 at hospitals for the mentally ill were £14 10s. 7d. per in-patient week and £2 12s. 4d. per out-patient attendance, and at hospitals for the subnormal £12 5s. 7d. per in-patient week. The average cost per week in local authority residential accommodation for the mentally disordered was about £8 4s. 0d., while the cost of attendance at training centres and day centres averaged about £1 15s. 0d. per day.
