§ Mr. Brian Parkynasked the Minister of Transport (1) what study has been made by his Department of the road communications necessary to serve a third London airport and the need to relate this road pattern to the National Motorway and Trunk Road Programme:
(2) what estimate he has made of the expected traffic flow between Central London and the third London airport.
§ Mr. MarshWe are co-operating with the research staff of the Commission on the Third London Airport in studies of these problems. I understand that the Commission proposes to publish the results before Stage V of its inquiry. The approach adopted is outlined in Chapters 4 and 7 of the Commission's publication "Assessment of the Short-Listed Sites: Proposed Research Methodology ", a copy of which is in the Library.
