63. Mr. Brian Harrisonasked the Minister of Transport how many representations he has received against the proposed closure of services on Sundays of the Wickford to Southminster branch line in connection with the making of a grant towards the cost of the line.

I have referred this matter to the Transport Users' Consultative Committee for the East Anglia Area under the provisions of Section 56(4)(b) of the Transport Act, 1962. I will consider the position further in the light of any recommendation made to me as a result.
