I.L.E.A. Hillingdon Barking Kingston-upon-Thames Barnet Bexley Merton Bromley Newham Croydon Redbridge Ealing Richmond-upon-Thames Harrow Havering Sutton but of these, seven have plans approved for the future elimination of selection:
Barking Havering Barnet Merton Bromley Redbridge Croydon and I am now considering proposals for Newham. In the I.L.E.A. 18 per cent. of the age group enter selective secondary schools but, under approved plans, the authority propose to reduce this to 10 per cent by 1975.
