§ Mr. Turtonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the names and qualifications of the members of the Independent Schools Tribunal to which appeals from complains under Section 71 of the Education Act, 1944, are referred.
§ Mr. Edward ShortUnder the Sixth Schedule to the Education Act, 1944, an Independent School Tribunal must consist of a chairman who is a member of a legal panel appointed by the Lord Chancellor and two members who are members of an educational panel appointed by the Lord President of the Council.
Persons appointed to the legal panel must have such legal qualifications as the Lord Chancellor considers suitable and 134W persons appointed to the educational panel must have had such experience in teaching or in the conduct, management or administration of schools as the Lord President of the Council considers suitable.
