§ 43. Sir J. Langford-Holtasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what commodities imported into the United Kingdom have been reported to him as having been subsidised; and from what countries they are imported.
§ Mr. HoyIt is generally known that the subsidisation of agricultural exports is widespread, though it would be impracticable to give a comprehensive and detailed reply. The main protection for our producers lies in the system of agricultural guarantees but supplementary action on imports is considered where necessary.
