MallalieuThe first contracts with industry to develop Blue Streak were placed in November, 1955, and the estimate for a 10-year period of work was £50.75 million. £65 million had been expended to April, 1960, when the project was cancelled and a further £19 million rundown costs were incurred making a total of £84 million.
