§ Mr. HattersleyOn 1st January, 1969, there were 30,067 people employed in my Department. 21,040 of these were established and 9,027 were non-established. The figure of non-established employees includes 1,986 part-time staff each counted as a half. The information asked for in the last part of the Question is not readily available and to obtain it would involve a disproportionate expenditure of time and money.
