§ Mr. Gwynfor Evansasked the Minister of Transport to what extent and in what way he assesses the value of goods traffic on railway lines which receive grants under section 39 of the Transport Act.
§ Mr. MarshGrants are paid in respect of unremunerative railway passenger services—and not railway lines. I am not required by Section 39(1) of the Transport Act, 1968, to have regard to the value of freight traffic.
