§ Mr. Oakesasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make available to industry non-strategic information provided by recent oceanographical and marine research by the Royal Navy.
§ Dr. David OwenThe Royal Navy is represented on the Advisory Committee on Marine Technology and is also cooperating with the Construction Industry Research and Information Association. Through these channels information from our research and development programmes is being made available to industry. In addition patents arising out of naval defence work are assigned to the National Research and Development Corporation for exploitation.
