78. Sir Richard Glyn

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will replace the obsolete strategic nuclear weapons with which the British Army of the Rhine is now equipped by modern nuclear missiles equivalent to those in service with the West German Army.

Mr. Healey

Neither B.A.O.R. nor the Army of the Federal Republic of Germany possess strategic nuclear weapon systems. The tactical systems with which they are equipped are of about the same generation.
