HC Deb 26 February 1969 vol 778 c325W
87. Mr. Hooson

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what acreage of land in the past five years in Wales has been taken over by the Forestry Commission; and what acreage of land has been taken over for private afforestation.

Mr. George Thomas

In the past five years the Forestry Commission has acquired a total of about 20,700 acres in Wales for planting. I have no reliable information about land acquired for private planting.
