Mr. Leadbitterasked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity how many men unemployed and registered by her Department in Hartlepool are between 40 to 45 years of age, 45 to 55 years of age and 55 to 65 years of age, respectively; and how many of the total have been unemployed for more than six months.
§ Mr. FernyhoughAt 13th January, 1969, of a total of 2,326 males who were registered as wholly unemployed in the area covered by the Hartlepool and Hartlepool Headland Employment Exchanges,198W 257 were aged 40 and under 45, 399 were aged 45 and under 55 and 409 were aged 55 and under 65. Of the total of 1,065 aged between 40 and 64, 509 had been registered for more than 26 weeks.
