asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the progress of the brucellosis eradication scheme in Westmorland.

By the end of January, 381 herds in Westmorland were in the voluntary Brucellosis (Accredited Herds) Scheme, which was designed as the forerunner to an eradication campaign, and 176 of these had been registered as accredited.
