§ Mr. Harold LeverTransactions between the general public and the Treasury134W itself are very limited and so far there has been no reason to open a Giro account. H.M. Customs and Excise is at present examining the problems of implementing a Giro system for tax payments. The Inland Revenue has opened a Giro account although it is not at present able to offer general facilities for payment of tax. The account number is 303 8416.
