§ Mr. SkeffingtonNo rates are leviable on agricultural buildings as defined in the General Rate Act, 1967. Information is not readily available about the total amount of rates now levied or leviable on other buildings used in food production, but it has been estimated that rates amounting to about £¼ million were levied in 1967–68 on intensive livestock buildings situated on agricultural holdings of over one acre in England and Wales.
