§ Mr. G. Elfed Daviesasked the Minister of Power when the second phase of the Aberthaw Power Station will be completed; and what additional amount of coal he estimates will be consumed per year when the station is in full use.
§ Mr. MasonAberthaw B is expected to be completed in 1970. Thereafter its coal consumption is expected to build up to a peak of about2½ million tons per annum, but as a consequence less efficient power stations will be used less intensively, so that the Central Electricity Generating Board's total coal consumption will not increase by an equivalent amount.
