§ 65. Mr. Moyleasked the President of the Board of Trade what steps he is taking to increase free trade on the lines proposed by the Commonwealth Prime Ministers in the communiqué following the conclusion of the recent Commonwealth Prime Ministers Conference.
§ Mr. CroslandThere is no reference in the communiqué to Commonwealth free trade. However, there are references to a generalised preference scheme, to international commodity trade and to the general expansion of trade. These are all fields in which my Department has been, and will remain, continuously active.
