asked Her Majesty's Government:

To state the amounts claimed by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic:

  1. (a) in respect of the gold deposited in the Bank of England by 413 the Banks of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania;
  2. (b) in respect of ships of these Baltic States requisitioned by Great Britain during the 1939–45 war; and
  3. (c) to state the other heads of the claims made by the Soviet Union and the amount claimed under each head.

(a) The full value of 460,220 fine ounces of gold which when sold in June, 1967, realised £5,803,122 13s. 0d.
