asked the Minister of Transport whether, before reaching a decision on the proposed closure of the Mid-Hants Railway, he will ascertain from British Railways the estimated cost of the provision of a halt at Kings Worthy.

Mr. Marsh

The Railways Board estimated in 1967 that a halt could be provided at Kings Worthy at a cost of approximately £15,000.
