§ Mr. FernyhoughThe figures given in my reply to my hon. Friend on 27th January, 1969, related only to cases of scrotal cancer notified under the Factories Act to Her Majesty's Factory Inspectorate. These notified cases are the only ones in which the occupational origin has been definitely established by investigation by my Department. We know that notification is not complete; the reasons for this are discussed in the Annual Report of the Chief Inspector of Factories for 1967.—[Vol. 776, c. 234.]
