§ 48. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity (1) whether she is aware that a number of racehorse owners are receiving tax-free incomes of amounts varying between £20,000 and £97,000 and that these are to be increased during the year; and whether she will refer the matter to the National Board for Prices and Incomes;
(2) whether she is aware that a number of racehorse owners are receiving £20,000 to £97,000 a year tax-free, mainly from 205W the Horserace Betting Levy; and whether this payment falls within the Government's prices and incomes policy.
