§ Mr. Whitakerasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will negotiate the purchase of the ground at present occupied by the Royal Army Medical Corps next to the Tate Gallery for an extension of the Gallery.
§ Miss Jennie LeeI discussed with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence in 1967 the possibility of using one of the adjoining sites for extensions to the Tate Gallery, but he did not then expect that ground would become available in the sufficiently near future to make this a practical proposition.
