§ Mrs. Ewingasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what information he has now obtained, as a result of his inquiries, about the supply by local authorities in Scotland of fluorescent armbands or other safety devices to children, and as to the ages of the children who are offered the supply.
§ Mr. RossTwenty-two education authorities have made arrangements, details of which vary considerably from area to area, to supply or make available safety garments to school children. The garments are made available to primary pupils of all ages except in one case where provision is restricted to infant pupils. Of the thirteen authorities which have taken no decisions, three still have the matter under consideration.
