§ Mr. RossThe Government's proposals for development in the Borders remain as stated in the White Paper on the Scottish Economy, following which I appointed consultants to give comprehensive advice on the lines of possible future developments. Their report has now been substantially endorsed by the local authorities in the area, subject to further consideration of the phasing of the developments proposed.
