HC Deb 04 February 1969 vol 777 c72W
Mr. Dean

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether, in view of the pressure on hospital out-patient departments, he will allow state registered physiotherapists who have well-equipped clinics to accept National Health Service patients on an agreed scale of fees.

Mr. Ennals

No such arrangements are envisaged. Hospital authorities have been advised that to obtain maximum benefit to the patient, physiotherapy should be provided under medical supervision backed by the full facilities of a hospital.
