§ Miss BaconThe decline is in the proportion rather than the numbers entering the schools. There is a serious shortage, though my Department's current advertising effort is aimed at science and mathematics graduates. The Department has produced and distributed a booklet on science and mathematic teaching and is collaborating with university appointments boards and faculties of science in arranging meetings for students.
