§ Mr. MarshPermanent remotely-controlled traffic signals will be installed later this year on 62 miles of M1, M18 and A1(M) in the West Riding of Yorkshire as part of the programme announced by my predecessor.
We expect to invite tenders for signal systems for about 20 miles of M1 and 18W M10 in the Metropolitan Police District and Hertfordshire in the spring; the signal systems should be in use next year.
