HC Deb 03 February 1969 vol 777 c53W
Mr. Dempsey

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many Scottish hospitals have joint consultative committees; how often they meet; and what he is doing to encourage the formation of joint consultative committees and to ensure that they function effectively.

Mr. Ross

Establishment of joint consultative staff committees has been recommended to all hospitals and an agreed constitution for them is included in the General Whitley Council Handbook; this constitution provides that meetings shall be held as often as may be necessary. No central record is kept about where they have been set up or of the number of times they meet.
