Russellasked the Secetary of State for Social Services whether the statement that women will continue to form 25 per cent. of the intake of medical students, contained in the memorandum entitled "Hospital Staffing Structure (Medical and Dental): Progress Report on Discussions Between Representatives of the Health Departments and the Joint Consultants Committee", issued in November, 1969, was made with his approval.
§ Dr. John DunwoodyThis was not a statement of Ministerial policy but one of a number of assumptions used as a basis for the estimates of future medical manpower given in an Appendix to the Progress Report.
