§ Mr. Wolrige-Gordonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what proposals he has considered for financing the future expenditure of smaller harbours in Scotland and for their administration.
§ Mr. RossThe only proposal before me at present is that made by the Royal Commission on Local Government in Scotland for the transfer to local authorities of responsibility for all piers and harbours classified as marine works. This proposal, which would have implications for the financing of the harbours, will be examined in the course of our general consideration of the commission's recommendations.
