§ 88. Mr. Edwin Wainwrightasked the Minister of Technology if he is aware that there is a shortage of smokeless fuel in the Yorkshire and Humberside Region which is creating a health hazard to people, especially to elderly persons, living in smokeless zones; and what action he is taking to ensure that some form of fuel is made available, so that the homes in these areas can be heated throughout the winter months.
Mr. Alan WilliamsI am told there is difficulty in obtaining some grades of solid smokeless fuel in some parts of the area, but I understand that in most places substitutes are available.
