§ Mr. Oakesasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what progress has been made in allowing maintenance orders to be paid through the National Giro instead of into the magistrates' court collecting offices.
§ Mr. Elystan MorganIf maintenance payments were allowed to be made direct through the National Giro, it would be impracticable for the collecting officer to discharge his responsibilities for enforcement. The Giro can, however, be used for payment into and out of the collecting office and I am satisfied that justices' clerks are aware of the facilities available.
