§ Mr. Gregor Mackenzieasked the Minister of Overseas Development if she will make a statement on the progress of the works programme being carried out in Anguilla.
§ Mrs. HartSince the current development programme started in 1968 there has been continued work on the construction of several miles of roads. The prefabricated school purchased in 1968 has been erected by the Royal Engineers, who are also building a new jetty. Orders have been placed for earth-moving vehicles, a new hospital generator, school furniture and equipment, and a prefabricated science laboratory for the secondary school. The continuation of the development aid programme in 1970–71, which is expected to bring total expenditure in the two-year period up to £150,000, is now being planned in consultation with Her Majesty's Com-346W missioner, the British Development Division in the Caribbean and the Royal Engineers.
