§ 90. Sir Richard Glynasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what new special arrangements for the custody of long-term prisoners have been introduced in the last five years.
§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsArrangements have been introduced for such prisoners to be placed in one of four security categories and detained in conditions appropriate to the category. Those requiring conditions of maximum security are being allocated, in accordance with the policy of which my right hon. Friend informed the House in July, 1968, to selected prisons for which high security has been, or is being, provided.
