HC Deb 12 December 1969 vol 793 c201W
Mr. Biffen

asked the President of the Board of Trade what estimate he has made of the number of travel agents who are recognised for commission payments by the International Air Transport Association; and what is the estimated number of agents passing business to the International Air Transport Association airlines of at least £5,000 per annum but who do not receive commission.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

682 United Kingdom travel agents carrying on business at 1,233 places are approved by I.A.T.A. and receive commission. The information asked for in the second part of the question is not available.
