§ Mr. Emeryasked the Minister of Technology what figures he is using as estimates for planning and budgeting purposes of the consumption of coal, gas, electricity, nuclear energy and oil products in 1970, 1972, 1975 and 1980, or at any other relevant dates if more easily available between 1970 and 1980.

As the Ministry of Power explained to the Select Committee on Nationalised Industries (Appendix 8 to the Committee's Report 1968–69, National Coal Board, Vol. II), energy estimates are kept under continuous review, but a single set of estimates is not always adopted.
