HC Deb 11 December 1969 vol 793 c167W
79. Mr. Speed

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity if she will seek a meeting with the Trades Union Congress and the Confederation of British Industry to consider the results of the first six months' work of the Trades Union Congress in carrying out its solemn and binding undertaking regarding the settlement of industrial disputes.

Mr. Harold Walker

There is close and continuing contact between my Department and the T.U.C. about the handling of industrial disputes, and my right hon. Friend sees no need for a meeting on the lines suggested.
