HC Deb 09 December 1969 vol 793 cc50-1W
39. Mr. Gardner

asked the Minister of Transport what action he is proposing to take to implement the proposals of the Consumer Council, details of which are in his possession, for improving the Transport Users' Consultative Committees.

Mr. Murray

The committees are now more representative of rail users generally, and include members representative of the aged, the disabled, working men and women, ramblers, and the tourist and road transport industries.

We have recently adopted proposals made by the Central Transport Consultative Committee for improved publicity for the committees.
