Mr. Bradley

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what is the number of work vouchers taken up by Commonwealth immigrants for each year since 1964 nationally, in the Midlands and in Leicester, respectively.

Mr. Dell

Information is available for Category A voucher holders only on the basis of the location of employment offered to them. It is as follows:

*Figures for previous years are not available.

The information for Leicester is not readily to hand but I will send it to the hon. Member as soon as possible.

Information is not available for voucher holders other than those in Category A as they are not required to have an offer of employment before a voucher is issued.
