§ 49. Mr. Scott-Hopkinsasked the Minister of Transport what plans he has under consideration for constructing a bypass on the A6 of Matlock Bath, Matlock Darley Dale and Bakewell.
Mr. Bob BrownNo comprehensive bypass of these localities is under consideration, although a line for a bypass of Bakewell has been protected in the Peak Park Development Plan. The protection of the route of a length of disused railway line, for eventual use as a bypass of Darley Dale and Rowsley is also being considered.
