Earl of Dalkeithasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will take the appropriate steps to list the Cafe Royal in Edinburgh as a building of historic and artistic importance.
§ Mr. RossThe Café Royal is one of a number of post-Georgian buildings in Edinburgh which I propose to add to the statutory list of buildings of architectural and historic importance.
In accordance with normal practice, I am notifying the local planning authority and other interested bodies of my intention, for any comment they may wish to make.
