asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity how many claims for unemployment pay were refused by her Department on the grounds of seasonal employment in Cornwall in the latest year for which figures are available.

During the twelve months to 31st August, 1969, 301 claims for unemployment benefit made by persons resident in Cornwall were disallowed under the Seasonal Workers Regulations by the statutory authorities appointed under the National Insurance Acts.
