Dr. Bennett

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will supply a table of the traffic offences committed and repudiated by persons in London claiming diplomatic immunity, as listed by him on 22nd October, 1969, relating these to the numbers of immune persons in each Mission in London and expressing the answer in terms of average offences per head of each Mission over the relevant period; and if he will supply this information to the heads of all the Missions concerned.

The present numbers of persons connected with the diplomatic Missions listed in the Answer given on 22nd October who are entitled to immunity in varying degrees are shown below. I regret that figures for Syria and Qatar were included in the previous Answer in error. These totals are not constant, and include persons who do not drive. The numbers of persons and of fixed penalty notices are therefore not capable of reduction to meaningful averages.
