asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many applications for increases in prices have been made to him since the beginning of the Government early warning system, and how many have been refused, modified or agreed.

Mr. Hoy

Since 20th July, 1966, 830 proposals for increases in prices have been made to my Department under the early warning system. Of these 546 have been accepted as notified, 169 accepted after modification, and 80 have been rejected or withdrawn. The remainder are still under consideration.
