§ Sir Clive Bossomasked the Secretary of State for Wales what was the central Government's total expenditure on roads in Wales for the year ended 31st March 1969, and the estimated expenditure for the year ending 31st March 1970.
§ Mr. George Thomas£14.8 million in 1968–69 and about £15.0 million in 1969–70. In addition local authorities carried out a further £16.4 million worth of work in 1968–69 and substantial work in 1969–70, the value of which will not be known until returns are received from local authorities after the end of the financial year, which was in part financed by the central Government through the rate support grant.
