§ Mr. VarleyInvestment grant paid to Development Areas in Great Britain in the financial years 1967–68 and 1968–69 totalled £343 million of which £96 million or 28 per cent. went to Scotland. I understand from my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Employment192W and Productivity, that regional employment premiums totalled £136 million of which an estimated £53 million or 39 per cent. went to Scotland.
