§ 74. Mr. Tudor Watkinsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what reports he has received about the death of sheep and lambs from liver fluke in Wales; what steps are being taken to deal with the incidence of this disease; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. John MackieReports suggest that, except in South Wales, the incidence of this disease during the winter months was about, or rather below, average. Considerable publicity and advice is given both nationally and locally, and the liver fluke forecast issued each summer by my Department reminds farmers that control of the disease depends on their taking timely preventive and treatment measures.
